Description
An 18th century English oak three drawer side table or lowboy, having two plank molded edged top over one long and two lower drawers all with original gilt lacquered brass bail handles, flanking a richly scalloped "wave" pattern, the sides with "Cupid's bow" shaping, and standing on square legs with inner chamfer, the whole constructed of quarter-sawn or "wainscot" oak, a premium timber usually reserved for the urban trade.
