Secretaire Italian desk by Gianfranco Frattini
-
Description
Stunning Italian secretaire from the 1960s, designed by Gianfranco Frattini for the renowned Bernini manufacture. This refined piece of furniture is entirely made of fine dark wood, characterized by an extraordinarily beautiful wood grain, which gives the piece a timeless elegance.
The secretaire is supported by four square legs, made entirely of brass and maintained in the original patina of the period, which add a touch of authenticity and value to the cabinet. The central body consists of four drawers, embellished with brass knobs with round geometric shapes, which enhance the elegant and understated line of the design.
At the top of the secretaire, we find a flap door that opens via a brass key. Inside are concealed shelves and small compartments, as well as two finely crafted small drawers, ideal for holding envelopes, letters and various items. The small inner drawers feature a play of joints that testifies to the craftsmanship of the Bernini manufacture.
This piece of furniture is not only a design object, but also a testament to Italian craftsmanship, perfect for enriching study areas, notary and legal offices, and classically styled rooms. Its understated elegance and quality materials make it an ideal piece for those seeking to combine functionality and sophistication in a single piece of furniture. -
