This exceptional Irish Regency figured rosewood center table, by Gillingtons of Dublin, c.1815-1838, features a finely figured circular tilt top with excellent patina and substantial brass handled on the underside, cross-grained rim, and conforming apron, above the pedestal stamped ‘Gillingtons’, over an elegant turned and ribbed pillar, above a concave tripartite platform base, raised on impressive ribbed bun feet with concealed castors. The brothers George and Samuel Gillington produced furniture of the highest quality and design from 1815 to 1838 and mostly traded from addresses in Abbey Street, Dublin.
