Description
An Italian Rococo style two-part secretary from the mid-19th century, with slanted desk, mirrored doors and original paint. How not to fall head over heels in love with this Rococo style Italian tall secretary? Topped with a voluted cornice accented with a carved motif in the center, sitting above two mirrored doors (with slight aging on the right one) opening to a blue painted shelved interior, the cabinet is exquisite from top to bottom. The central section is made of two drawers resting upon a slanted desk concealing additional drawers and shelves. Last but not least, the lower section showcases three serpentine drawers raised on cabriole legs. The ensemble is adorned with its original floral-themed decor showing great delicacy in the treatment. Placed anywhere in a home, from a living room to a bedroom, office or foyer, this Rococo style Italian secretary circa 1850 will be a great focal point.
