Italian Art Deco Macassar Ebony, Chrome, Glass Dining Table, Italy, circa 1940
-
Description
An Italian Art Deco dining table, the black glass surface is inset to the molded apron of Birdseye maple; resting on two rounded Macassar ebony columns on each end connected with a rounded chrome stretcher, the chrome echoed at the base of each column as well. A stunning contrast of exotic woods, the table is sleek and streamlined, displaying the great modernism of the Art Deco era. Highly practical as the black glass requires no cloth to cover.
