Italian Florentine walnut coffee table with Verdi Alpi marble top, circa 1940. The striking rectangular Verdi Alpi marble sits atop a wide walnut apron surround supported on elegantly splayed legs ending in fanciful brass sabot. The walnut is rich in color and contrasts beautifully with the earthy and rich green colored marble top. A decadent and glamourous piece so evocative of the Art Deco era.
