Large Roman-Style Giltwood and Marble-Top Center Table, Impressive
Finest 20th century, after a design by Antonio Landucci, the rectangular figured marble top over a carved frieze in anthemia, floral and foliate decor, centered by a medallion with a carved bull, raised on fluted and stop-fluted legs with ram's-head- and swag-carved capitals, the legs joined by acanthus-carved stretchers centered by a fruit basket flanked by swans.

Notes: .The present table is after an Italian Neoclassical example commissioned in 1773 by Principe Don Marcantonio Borghese for the Palazzo Borghese.
Condition, Numerous nicks and chips showing age to git gold and red clay undertone. We can and will touch if desired.
