Description
Sculpted in MDF and finished with a rich black lacquer, this Cloud coffee table by Jacques Jarrige is a bold and poetic expression of form, light, and material. Its organic silhouette—fluid, asymmetrical, and gently contoured—reflects the artist’s signature exploration of movement and spatial tension. Hollowed openings pierce the structure, creating an interplay between mass and void that allows light to pass through and animate the surface.
The interior of the carved voids is finished in a striking red-over-silver leaf treatment, which produces a luminous, iridescent glow. As light catches the layered finish, flashes of silver emerge beneath the red, creating depth and dynamic contrast with the dark exterior. This unexpected interior detail enriches the visual experience and underscores the sculptural complexity of the piece.
The Cloud table is not only functional but deeply expressive—transforming a humble material into a refined, gestural object. It invites the viewer to engage from every angle, as shifting light and perspective reveal new nuances in form and texture.
Custom dimensions, lacquer colors, and interior leaf finishes are available upon request, allowing the table to be tailored to a variety of interiors. -
