Description
Prolific Danish cabinetmaker and designer Johannes Andersen opening his own architectural and furniture workshop in the 1930s. He went on to create a large volume of pieces for celebrated Swedish, Danish, and Norwegian companies over a fifty year period. This set of three nesting table was created for CFC Silkeborg in Denmark using rosewood frames over slender tapered legs. Each table is topped by hand painted ceramic tiles in a blue stylized floral pattern reminiscent of earlier Spanish designs. Table has cut out underneath were original identification tag is now missing. 1960s, Denmark. Sun fading to parts of frame, mostly to largest top table.
