Description
Unique & Rare John Widdicomb Faux Bronzed with Brass Patinaed Console Table.
A Console Table Faux Bronzed frame with Brass Patinaed inset top. Simple elegant parsons style console sofa table with simulated faux bronzed spotting metal effect similar to tortoiseshell on the frame and a striking brass patinaed top. The frame is solid wood with a lacquered finish over bronzed faux effect that accents the brass patented inset top. Chamfered legs add a subtle detail. Produced by John Widdicomb Furniture Company makers of fine furniture Grand Rapids. Brass label to underside (dates early 1970s). In good condition. Areas of the legs and corners have been touched up. Wear to corners edges and legs nothing detracting or noticeable without extremely close inspection. The inlayed patinaed brass plate has a nice patina of time and use. A uniquely beautiful table that can work well in many settings. Perfect behind under large artwork, hall console, foyer table or sofa table. The top of this table is amazingly beautiful. This is a truly unique find for a console table. -
