Description
This desk with a file cabinet, designed by Jorge Zalszupin and produced by his company L’Atelier in the 1960s, highlights an innovative approach to Brazilian rosewood in a patchwork style. This technique, which involves a collage of rosewood pieces in various shades, showcases Zalszupin's dedication to both creativity and efficiency by effectively using leftover wood scraps from the factory.
The desk and cabinet are separate elements, providing added versatility. The desk features a central slat that not only enhances stability but also contributes an elegant touch to its overall design. The original L’Atelier seal beneath the tabletop serves as a testament to its authenticity and craftsmanship. Notably, the desk can be folded with ease in three simple steps, making it practical and adaptable for a variety of spaces and purposes.
The file cabinet is equipped with three drawers adorned with leather handles and retains its original wheels. Additionally, all four sides feature wood veneer, allowing it to function as a decorative standalone piece as well. -
