    Available now, this Mid-Century Modern Coffee Table made in Wood & Marble by Jorge Zalszupin in Brazil in 1959 is a masterpiece!

    The “Limestone” coffee table is a stunning example of minimalist design. Its use of materials including rosewood legs embedded in the marble creates a sense of weightlessness that defies traditional notions of heaviness and lightness. The legs have been expertly refinished and are in excellent condition. This stunning coffee table is a testament to the exceptional craftsmanship of L'Atelier, as evidenced by the stamped numbers on the legs. The manufacture seal is under the marble. Attached vintage publications featuring the piece.

    This gorgeous table is displayed in our showroom next to a Geraldo de Barros Credenza, an also Zalszupin pair of armchairs and a daybed by Carlo Hauner.

    Jorge Zalszupin was a Brazilian architect and furniture designer who was born in Poland in 1922. He moved to Brazil in the 1950s and quickly became known for his innovative furniture designs that blended elements of European modernism with Brazilian warmth and tropical materials.

    Finally, Zalszupin's influence on the Brazilian design community has helped to shape a unique design aesthetic that continues to inspire designers around the world. Zalszupin's work was characterized by clean lines, bold shapes, and a playful use of color, and he created many iconic pieces of furniture that are still popular today. In addition, his furniture is known for its high quality craftsmanship and attention to detail, which results in pieces that are both beautiful and durable.

    Zalszupin's furniture continues to be highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts around the world, and his influence can be seen in the work of many contemporary designers who continue to draw inspiration from his innovative and playful approach to modern design. Zalszupin passed away in 2020 at the age of 98.
