    This piece was made from a combination of Art Deco design elements and the swirling, unique pattern of Walnut Burl Wood. Jules Leleu was the designer of this coffee table in France in 1930.

    Jules Leleu was a french furniture designer and interior decorator who was born in 1883 and died in 1961. He was known for his innovative use of materials and his ability to combine traditional and modern design elements. Leleu studied at the École Boulle in Paris where he learned the art of cabinetmaking, before opening his own studio in 1910. He quickly gained a reputation for his unique designs, which featured clean lines and geometric shapes. In the 1920s and 1930s, Leleu became one of the leading figures of the Art Deco movement in France. He continued to work through out his life, and his designs can be found in many museums and private collections today.
