A Lacquered Goatskin Console Table by Karl Springer
-
Description
An "Angular Leg" console table by Karl Springer circa 1970s. The surface is covered with his iconic lacquered goatskin patchwork and exhibits a nice natural color with subtle variations in a matte finish . Simple yet elegant form and details such as the angled corners and the striped treatment around the feet, meet a luxury material and superb workmanship, the signature of the design by Karl Springer that brings back a touch of Hollywood Regency glamor in the 70s. A remnant of an old paper label remained underneath. Purchased directly from Karl Springer for a Palm Beach house.
