Large Antique Chinese Terracotta Table

Description
This a large glazed terra cotta table in the form of a traditional Chinese drum. The table dates to the late 19th or early 20th century and is in overall very good condition considering its many years of use. The traditional green is highlighted with a flambe blue and touches of brown. The top shows good natural patina. The sides are in overall very good condition, showing a few very minor flakes and rough spots. Although the table was intended as a garden piece, the table would be equally at home in an interior setting. Firing a piece of terra cotta is an art as many large pieces do not survive the intense heat of the kiln.
