Louis XV style gilt bronze and parquetry circular centre table

Made in France in the 19th century, this excellent table is in the rich Louis XV style, and is replete with gilt-bronze mounts and ornamentation. The top surface features a central floral parquetry design, which is enclosed by an ormolu rim. The four cabriole legs are joined in the centre underneath by arcing beams, and the underlining of the frame is decorated with gilt bronze mounts and embellishments. A very fine piece indeed, this circular table is demonstrative of the style and sophistication of the elegant Louis XV style, and will make a superb addition to any interior.
