Luigi Caccia Dominioni for Azucena, table “T20 Fascia Specchiata”, Italy, 1970s
-
Description
"The base is made up of two curved metal plates that embrace and create a highly architectural shape. It closely resembles the mighty sculptures of Richard Serra, master of Land Art, so popular in the years when this table was designed. And the reference to art that lives in nature reminds us of the fluid movement of rivers, a harmony that Caccia Dominioni sought in his work. The oval glass top is bordered by a mirrored ribbon, a large ring capable of playing with light and the surrounding environment. Those who approach can enjoy an unusual exchange of reflections (and glances!) Made possible by the unusual horizontal position of this elegant mirror." (from the Azucena catalogue).
