Maison Jansen Lapis Lazuli marquetry coffee table 1970
-
Description
Unique lapis lazuli marquetry coffee table made to order by Maison Jansen in the late 1970s. The lapis lazuli is a deep-blue metamorphic rock used as a semi-precious stone that has been prized since antiquity for its intense color. The table top and base are entirely covered by lapis lazuli rectangle marquetry with amazing deep-blue contrasts and presence. This special coffee table has been fully repolished and revarnished, and is found in an amazing condition. A very rare and special find.
