Glass Chrome and Rattan Console with Low Table
-
Description
These two tables are attributed to Harvey Probber from the Artisan Collection . The tops are inset glass within polished chrome frames and are detailed with beautifully patinated rattan wrapping. The're in pristine original condition and are offered together for one price. Purchased directly from a Park Avenue estate, where there had been other Probber furniture, the attribution is made on the basis of the April 2021 Wright Auction Sale; Harvey Probber the Eastcliff Residence. Probber's Artisan Collection, from the mid-seventies used traditional crafts in making modern furnishings. Works were made in part in Haiti and the frames were manufactured in Probber's factory in Fall River Mass. Both the dining chairs in the Eastcliff sale and a small bench use the same type off wrapping as found on this console with table over steel. Further researching continues.
