Monumental Art Deco Pedestal with Fluted Detailing in Walnut and Black Lacquer
-
Description
This monumental and impressive Art Deco pedestal was realized in the United States circa 1940. It features a skyscraper style base consisting of three stacked tiers of lustrous black lacquer that supports a fluted column in walnut and is crowned by a lacquer top. With its quintessentially Art Deco Materials (walnut & black lacquer) and forms (channel detailing and skyscraper style motifs), this piece is sure to delight discerning collectors of fine Deco objects, as well as those with a penchant for all things exquisite. Its clean modernist lines and refined color palate ensure that it will not compete with any artwork or object place on top of it, but rather only enhance its virtues by proximity. It is in mint restored condition.
