    Neoclassical style gilt bronze mounted wooden side table
    French, early 20th Century
    Height 71cm, diameter 54cm
     
    This Neoclassical style mahogany side table is inset with a circular white veined marble top that is bounded by a gilt bronze gallery. Below the top, set into the apron, are four pivoting drawers, the fronts painted above white ground with floral designs. The apron is mounted throughout with gilt bronze elements, including drapes and animal masks. The apron is supported by four mahogany legs, square in profile and gently tapering from top to bottom, each leg meeting the ground with a gilt bronze mounted peg foot.
