Petite French Louis XVI Style Gold Gilt Demilune Bracket Console

Description
This elegant little demilune console has been made in the Louis XVI style, in France, at the beginning of the 20th century. The semi-circular top is a beautiful cream-colored marble with violet dashed throughout. The apron and singular leg exhibit scalloped running-coin motifs, with a classic Louis XVI joinery die connecting the two. Garland swags of hand-carved roses are suspended from the apron, while the leg terminates in a carved hoof foot. The console is finished in a wonderfully antiqued gold. c.1900.
