Wonderful example of an engraved and patinated bronze-clad wood 'Chan' coffee table by Philip and Kelvin Laverne. Work by the father son design duo has been steadily increasing in value over the past 5-10 years. This particular version has a colorful patina and measures 47 inches in diameter. The work comes in two pieces with the top being bolted into the base.

The father and son team of Philip (1907-1987) and Kelvin (1937-) LaVerne created custom, limited edition pieces of furniture that were both functional objects and stunning displays of artistry. Their distinctive sculpted bronze pieces harmoniously combine innovative metalworking techniques with traditional motifs.
