Beautiful "Dogwood Floral" coffee table in patinated and engraved bronze and pewter with hand-painted enamels in blue, green, yellow, and red by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, American 1960's (signed “Philip Kelvin LaVerne” on top.) The LaVernes loved nature and did several works with floral subject matter. This table, from the Historical Civilization Series, is very elegant.

In the back of the catalog is a description which reads, “DOGWOOD FLORAL: Three seperate bronzes inlaid by hand create one solid background of magnificent light and dark golden brown bronzes. The design is the delightful 18th century Dogwood Floral of France, which moves softly along with this sculptured shape. The French Chinoi leg is of carved bronze.” -
