After a career as a dancer for Jan Fabre, Dirk Meylaerts decided to become a furniture designer rat the age of 23.
This was in 1987.
Influenced by Italian Postmodernism and high-end Belgian craftsmanship.
Notice the legs which are actually 1, 4 of a full round example.
