Description
FRENCH CERAMIC ARTIST ROGER CAPRON CERAMIC TILE COFFEE TABLE MODEL DOUBLE CUVETTE
This table is composed of tiles that each exhibit the strong influence of the fire in the kiln and vary in colors of warm light browns and tan. The center tiles have decorative impressions.
The frame or border gently slope upward and over the sides. A true architectural and complicated arrangement. The variation in color would work well in any decor. The grout is light gray. This is the largest coffee table that Capron produced.
Created in his studio in Vallauris circa 1970. Sitting on bronzed metal legs. Excellent condition. Signed R Capron

Message from Seller:
Pavilion is the collective vision of Deborah Colman and Neil Kraus, both graduates of the master of fine arts program at the Art Institute of Chicago. From a longstanding interest in art and design, frequent buying trips to France and Italy have influenced the direction of the gallery to offer items that are not easily sourced in Chicago and United States. Postwar design has been the focus for 18 yrs and we also look forward to new design that crosses boundaries and dialogues as well to the past
