Very rare dining table Model "Luar" designed by Ross Littell for ICF De Padova, 1970. The table top is made of stainless steel tiles, brushed finish of beautiful workmanship. The individual steel tiles vary both in angle and depth of their brushed finish, with the result of a surprising play of reflection and refraction of light that creates a beautiful "glittering" optical effect. This, the largest of the "Luar" table series, illustrates this beautiful effect in an absolutely optimal way.
The Luar dining table with its original and wonderful stainless steel op art top has never been reissued and is by far the rarest of the whole range of "Luar" tables.
The word "LUAR" means moonlight in Portuguese and perfectly captures the atmosphere and quality of the light reflected from the table surface.

Literature: Casa Vogue, November-December 1972 issue, p. 134 (photographed by the famous architecture and design photographer Aldo Ballo). The article adds that the price varies according to size and height and confirms the material as stainless steel.
