Rudolph Schindler unique dining table
-
Description
A custom-made dining table by Austrian-American architect Rudolph Schindler (1887-1953), designed for and used in the Howenstein House, South Pasadena. The house of Karl and Edith Howenstein, friends of Schindler, was built in 1925, but it was remodelled and furnished by Schindler in 1943. The furniture for the house was inspired by the 'flying roof' that he added to the house.
The table is made of grey painted plywood. The pictured Ed Miller bowls are also available at Bloomberry. -
