In a rather distinctive way, softness and tradition merge in this coffee table. While it is elemental thanks to the solid oak, the roundness of its top and soft edges of its legs still provide a sense of gentleness.

The design features a circular top that exudes organic charm and warmth. The natural wood grain and texture of the solid oak add depth and character to the piece. Oak was the material of choice for many mid-century pieces due to its durability and malleability, enabling intricate yet robust constructions. Mid-century modern design represented a break with the traditional past; design-wise, furnishings were often a rejection of Victorian, Colonial, and other historical influences, especially the pseudo-historical use of ornamentation. In comparison, furniture from this era - and in this organic, sometimes raw style - is generally more pared-down, frequently impressive in scale, and uncluttered with unnecessary ornament.
