Sergio Ponzio IV metal and ropes console table 1970s
-
Description
Unique sculpture console table by Sergio Ponzio IV created in the early 1970s in Italy. The console top and frame is made of patinated metal, with two large wood feet, and ropes covering them all around the console. This is a very unusual and sculptural piece, reminiscent of later work by Elizabeth Garouste & Mattia Bonetti. Sergio Ponzio was influenced by Nerone Ceccarelli, Gruppo NP2 and Victor Cerrato, all famous Turin artists. The table has been fully cleaned and restored, and is in a very good vintage condition.
