Description
Reference: Ethel Hall Bjerkoe, The Cabinetmakers of America, plate XXV, no. 2, shows a similar table made by Thomas and Stephen Goddard at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Other tables of this group include a pair at the Rhode Island Historical Society, Providence, Rhode Island ( See Joseph K. Ott, The John Brown House Loan Exhibition Of Rhode Island Furniture, entry 36), and one in the collection of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Richmond, Virginia.
