Rare Studio Nest of Three Incan Influenced Tables by Toqapu Studio, circa 1985
-
Description
Unusual minimalist nest of three handcrafted side tables. The framework I think is cedar or elm with a central panel of walnut.
The design appears to be based on the slightly sloped Incan pyramids. Toqapu refers to woven square designs found in Inca textile which denoted social, political and economic status.
The tables measure:
27 x 27 x 19".
26 x 26 x 15".
25 x 25 x 11 ".
The center squares measure: 6.25", 3.75" and 1.25".
The tables are in excellent condition. -
