Description
Two Neoclassical Empire Style Bronze and Marble Pedestals
French, 20th Century
Height 100cm, width 48cm, depth 48cm
This pair of pedestal stands are distinctly Empire style in design. They are of square profile form, standing on four ormolu paw feet. At the top and bottom of the stand are wooden bands, with ormolu columns to each corner. In between, there are crossed patinated bronze X-form stretchers, with a central ormolu rosette. The stands are topped with veined black marble plateaus. -
