Description
This custom made ample sized game table was designed by Wm. Billy Haines and manufactured by Stergis M. Stergis in 1946. It is an untouched original designed by Billy Haines for Nunnlay Johnson, renowned Hollywood scriptwriter and producer for his home in Beverly Hills. Covered in tortoise leather with Florentine embossed trim. The magnificently wrapped legs have a reptilian feel. Four concealed pull out mini drawers hold original brass ashtrays and glasses. Two gold embossed signatures are under the rim, “Designed by WM. Haines” and “Leather by Stergis”. A letter of provenance from the family will be provided.
