    Gold bracelet with painted enamel plaques portraying the Alps
    Swiss, c. 1840
    Height 3.5cm, width 19cm
     
    This seven-link bracelet—each link containing a painted landscape miniature on enamel—is crafted from yellow gold. Each of the miniatures portrays a Swiss landscape, whether an alpine scene or a view of a lakeside, with each of the paintings adeptly executed. The reverse of one of the enamel miniatures is inscribed ‘Chateland’.
