Description
A large bespoken bronze brooch by French Parisian art jeweler Line Vautrin (1913-1997) circa 1940. Called "chatelaine", this bronze brooch features articulated chain links with hanging symbols of geometrical knot and pedant, cascading down on both ends. The design echos and resembles the clasp used to be worn by the Mistress de Maison. There are two links on opposite sides has small loops on the back to be worn by stick pins (two are included). The brooch can be worn in different fashion. It's large size and chunky geometrical design will be very eye-catching. brooch has an attractive gold gilded surface. The piece was stamped twice "Line Vautrin".
