Mostly viewed as a Secret Society, Freemasonry is the world's oldest and largest Gentleman's Fraternity . Having its beginnings in Scotland in 1717, Masonic Lodges exist throughout the world and was established in the 18th Century in America. This is an impressive 14K Gold Presentation Medal Pendant given to a Master Freemason of the Royal Arch Lodge No.2 . George Washington and Benjamin Franklin were Freemasons, whose core values were to make this world a better place, one man at a time. Hand engraved with "Presented to William Watt", Master and 1927, The Medal is beautifully executed in high relief with an image of the familiar Compass and an incredible carved Moonstone in the center of the Sun. The diameter is 1 and 1/4 inches and weight is 14.7 dwt. A rare addition for the collector.
