A beautiful and large silver pendant by the prominent Finnish designer Tapio Wirkkala. This gorgeous piece of jewellery is named Silver Moon, Hopeakuu in Finnish for its resemblance to the moon shape with its concentric rings. The beautiful minimal design makes it a classic that is easy to mix and match with different colours, other accessories or jewellery. Please note that this design was made in different sizes with this being the largest and consequently rarest. Hand made by prominent silversmith Nilo Westerback in 1973, this piece is fully stamped with all silver hallmarks.
The piece is in beautiful shape and has a monogram of the name of the previous owner and dated when apparently given as a present in 1980.
A perfect gift for Jewellery lovers and more so for mid-century enthusiasts.
