    Unusual silver matchbox holder or small card case or money clip Deakin & Francis Birmingham 1931. The case is vermeil engine turned design with a spring-loaded hinge function which is then pressed from both sides to open and close the case. Small initial R in gothic to one side. Bale loop at base. Very clear hallmarks on all sections and Patent no 62601. Very sleek look and feel. Condition: Good. Measures closed 8.57 x 5.50 x 0.20 cm. Open: 8.57 x 5.50 x 1.15 cm. Item weight: 62.85 grams.
