Description
Ladies Edwardian 14k gold and enamel pendant watch, Concord Watch Co. 1915. Guilloche enamel case with platinum and diamond mount enclosing a 15-jewel movement, gold single sunk dial Arabic numerals, blued enamel hands, subdial for seconds at 6 o'clock. 27 mm, with conforming platinum, diamond and enamel chain, lg. 52 cm. Serial no. 160112. Stamped 14K with squirrel mark.
Case inscribed " Edith from Grandma Barnes May 16, 1915."
Concord was founded in 1908 in Biel, Switzerland and in 1915, they started working with companies like Van Cleef & Arpels, Tiffany & Co. and Cartier (jeweller) on providing them with high quality watches made out of precious metals and gems.[2] In 1942, President Truman gifted Concord watches to Stalin and Churchill during World War II peace talks, solidifying their position as a leading luxury watch brand. -
