Tiffany & Co.

American, 1837
Among vintage jewelry makers, few names carry as much prestige and global recognition as Tiffany & Co. Founded in 1837 by Charles Lewis Tiffany, the brand quickly established itself as a pioneer in American luxury and design. In 1845, Tiffany introduced the now-iconic Blue Book—the first mail-order catalog in the United States—revolutionizing the way fine jewelry was marketed and sold.

The Tiffany legacy expanded further under the creative direction of Charles’s son, Louis Comfort Tiffany, who gained fame for his work in decorative arts and founded Tiffany Studios, celebrated for its stained glass lamps and mosaics. His influence helped position Tiffany not just as a jeweler, but as a cornerstone of American design innovation.

Today, Tiffany & Co. is widely regarded as one of the world’s premier purveyors of fine jewelry and luxury gemstones. The house is especially renowned for its exquisite engagement rings, brooches, and vibrant yellow diamonds. Tiffany’s heritage also includes contributions from legendary designers such as Elsa Peretti, Jean Schlumberger, Jean Vitau, and Angela Cummings, whose iconic designs continue to be treasured.
