Aldo Tura
In 1939, Italian designer Aldo Tura founded his studio nearby Milan. He was a master craftsman, producing his pieces in limited series, many times only making one work of a specific design. In the post-war period, when many makers were moving towards mass production, Tura remained faithful to labor intensive craftsmanship of the highest order. Aldo Tura furniture design is powerful and original, characterized by the use of exotic materials such as goatskin and parchment, in striking shades of red, brown, green and yellow with bronze details. He is recognized as being one of the most original and important artisans of the Italian post-war design movement.
