Lino Tagliapietra

Lino Tagliapietra is an Italian glass artist who has been creating intricate and colourful works of art for over 60 years. Born in Murano, Italy, Tagliapietra began his career in glassmaking in the early 1950s. Since then, he has become one of the most celebrated artists in glassmaking, utilizing centuries-old Venetian techniques to create stunning and unique pieces. Tagliapietra has been honored with a knighthood from the Italian government, as well as numerous awards from both the Italian and international art world. He is often credited with being a leader of the glass art revival in the 20th century, and his work is exhibited in galleries and museums around the world.
