Hans Bergström
Swedish, 1910 - 1996
Hans Bergström was a Swedish lighting designer and entrepreneur. He was born in Stockholm in 1910 and grew up in a family of artists and designers. After completing his studies in art and design, he began working as a freelance designer in the 1930s. In 1942, he founded his own company, Ateljé Lyktan, which specialized in designing and manufacturing lighting fixtures. Bergström's designs were known for their innovative use of materials and their clean, modern lines. He collaborated with many prominent architects and designers throughout his career, and his work was exhibited at several international design exhibitions. Bergström passed away in 1995, but his designs continue to be highly regarded and sought after by collectors and design enthusiasts.
