Fristho
Dutch, 1921 - 1978
Fristho is a Dutch furniture manufacturer that was founded in 1921 by two brothers, Frans and Theo van der Horst. The name Fristho comes from their initials (F.R. and Th.). The company initially produced simple wooden furniture, but in the 1950s and 1960s, it gained a reputation for producing modern and innovative designs. Fristho collaborated with well-known designers, such as Kho Liang Ie and Wim Rietveld, to create furniture that combined functionality and style. Today, Fristho furniture is highly collectible and sought after by mid-century modern enthusiasts.
