A modernist painting by Vietnamese artist Duc Nghia Phan. Phan's work is influenced by French Art Deco and Modernism movement in Vietnam, yet his subject matter is always rooted in rural life. One of his frequent depiction is young boy in set against countryside, that evokes a strong memory and nostalgia of the artist's own childhood.
