Description
This is the important Art Deco 1920’s ceramic nude and elephant vase by the French master ceramicist, Eduard Cazaux. This large vase is in excellent condition. Eduard Cazaux came from a family of ceramicists and went on to study at l’école des Beaux-Arts and at l’école de Sèvres. He was known for using vibrant colors, simple forms and beautiful hand-painted decorations. Cazaux received the Legion of Honor award in 1937. His works are in the collection of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the Museum of Saint Maur.
