Description
This bronze ”S” lounge chair designed by Walter Lamb retains it’s original brown patina. It was manufactured by Brown and Jordan in the 1950’s. We have 4 Walter Lamb bronze “S” chairs available. At the end of WW2, Walter Lamb was stationed in Hawaii. There he conceived the idea of using reclaimed surplus brass tubing from the naval yards to design the framework for outdoor furniture. He used cotton cording to form the support body. A few years later, his designs became part of the Brown and Jordan line and by the early 1960’s, the cotton cording was replaced by plastic cording. All of our Walter Lamb pieces are newly restored with cotton cording treated to resist mold and mildew.
