The Boston Home Décor Show in 2015.

Incollect is thrilled to be sponsoring the 2016 Boston Home Décor Show, the only show of its kind in New England. The show launched last year to critical acclaim, with the goal of capturing the evolution of the collecting and design market, from antiques to the finest in today’s home décor market. The Boston Home Décor Show encompasses a mix of antique, vintage, modern and contemporary design, including exciting new offerings from emerging designers. Whether you're restoring, designing or redecorating your home, design experts will be there to lend their expertise!

On Friday, November 18 at 1:00pm, Dakota Jackson, American furniture designer and designer-in-residence for Steinway & Sons, will deliver his Keynote presentation, “Hearing Light... Seeing Sound: Designing with All Our Senses.” He will discuss the magic of full sensory engagement in designing spaces. Dakota Jackson should know about magic – he is actually a classically trained magician himself! Saturday’s special guest is Kathryn M. Ireland, a preeminent British interior designer known for her worldly and chic-without-trying style. She will make a special appearance from 2 - 3pm. She has a wealth of experience stemming from her legendary “sympathetic restorations” of landmark architectural houses and hotels, as well as exquisite homes for members of the Hollywood elite like Steve Martin, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Drew Barrymore. A reception will follow both guests, as well as a book signing for Kathryn M. Ireland, who has written five best-selling books on design.

Special programs being held at the show include “Keeping It Real: Interior Design, Home Remodeling and the Real Estate Market,” “Condo Makeovers: Inventive Ideas for Vertical Living,” and Trefler’s “Restoration Clinic,” which will be ongoing throughout the weekend. Wonderful exhibitors will be part of this year’s Show, including Glen Leroux Antiques, Inc., Joan R. Brownstein, Village Braider Antiques, The M-Geough Co., Fountain Street Fine Art, and many more.

At the Gala Preview on Thursday, November 17, guests can enjoy exquisite cuisine, wine and enjoy a lively atmosphere, filled with music by the Lihi Haruvi Quartet. Guests to the Preview will gain exclusive access to a vast array of historic, modern and contemporary furnishings, fine art, decorative arts, and home décor. 100% of the Gala Preview proceeds will benefit two incredible HIV/AIDS-combatting organizations. The first is the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA), founded in 1984, which has provided more than $41 million to hundreds of HIV/AIDS organizations nationwide. The second is the Community Research Initiative of New England (CRI), which is dedicated to leading the way in HIV/AIDS clinical research and ensuring access to HIV medications and health insurance. Admission is $15 at the door. To learn more about the Boston Home Décor Show, click HERE.
