Primavera, also known as Atelier du Printemps, was a French decorative arts company founded in 1912 by René Guilleré and André Mare. The company was known for its innovative designs, which combined traditional French decorative arts techniques with modernist forms and motifs.
Primavera's products included furniture, lighting, textiles, ceramics, and glassware, which were all produced by skilled artisans in the company's Paris workshop. Many of the company's designs featured bold, abstract forms and brightly colored geometric patterns, which were inspired by the work of the early 20th century avant-garde artists.
Primavera was a major presence at the 1925 Paris Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes, which is often credited with giving rise to the Art Deco style. The company remained in operation until the outbreak of World War II, when it was forced to close due to the German occupation of Paris.
